Revamping the blog

This week I will be revamping the blog using one of my newer kits. I want to make a bunch of changes and will be focusing more on kits and re arranging than tuts. I will try to get out a few FTU tuts this week!

Sorry for the mess!

I hope you Dance PTU

I hope you dance PTU

This tutorial was written on August 30, 2009 by Shani aka Wicked Princess. The concept of the tag is mine and mine alone. Any resemblance to any other tag/tut is pure coincidence. This was written for those with working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:

++Paint Shop Pro ( I used 10 but any version should work)

++Scrap kit by Stargazer Musings called Purple Beauty can be purchased HERE

++Template 89 by Blissfully Beth can be found HERE

++Tube of choice or the one I used. I used the work of Angela Newman which can be purchased HERE

++Font and mask of choice

Let’s get started!

**NOTES:
-Add Drop shadow of choice as you go
-You can merger layers as you want to make things easier for yourself.

Open the template in PSP, using your shortcut keys on your keyboard (SHIFT+D) duplicate the template as a new image. Close the original.

Open several papers of choice, resizing as needed. For example, when I look at the blue bar where it tells me what I’ve opened (say like paper 2) it tells me what percentage I’m viewing it at. For me it’s usually 16%, so I resize to 16% bringing it to 100%. ( I hope that made sense!) Once you’ve done this, minimize for later use.

Next go to the bottom template layer and go to selections, select all, then float, selections defloat. Add a gradient glow of your choice.Don’t forget to go to selections, none then delete the template layer. Repeat this for the remainder of the template.

Add a new raster layer, and send to the bottom Flood fill with your choice of paper and add your mask and remember to merge group.

Open the doodle of choice, resize then copy and pate as a new layer. Move it angle it, moving it towards the upper left hand corner of the tag. Move this layer below the template. Duplicate it and go to image, mirror then image flip.

Next open the rose of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer in the center of the frame template layer.

Then open the bow swag of your choice. Resize then copy and paste as a new layer. Move it to the left of the frame, centering it. Duplicate it and go to image, mirror. Add a bouquet of flowers you like. Duplicate it and place each on the bow swag.

Next add your tube of choice to the center of the tag. Adjust and move as you like.

Randomly place the dragon flies and butterflies of choice through out the tag.

Add your text, copyrights and license info.

Save and your done!

Thank you for trying my tutorial!

More FTU tuts coming!

I have a few FTU tags I need to write tuts for over the weekend. I'm doing them as I can in between everything else this weekend. I realize I haven't made a terrible lot of them lately, so I'll try to get as many as I can up!

It's a busy weekend around here, as I'm sure it is for everyone!

Much love
Shani

**NOTES:
-Add Drop shadow of choice as you go
-You can merger layers as you want to make things easier for yourself.

Open a new canvas of 600x600. Remember you can always resize later. Flood fill the canvas with your choice of paper. Add your mask, and merge the group.

Next open the leaf frame. Copy and paste as a new layer into your working canvas. Open the pinecone frame and copy and paste as a new layer over the leaf frame.

Go back to the leaf frame, and use your magic wand tool and click inside the frame. Go to selections, modify expand by 8. Add a new raster layer and fill with your choice of paper. Move this layer below the frame layer. Go to selections, none.

Next open the doodle of your choice, resize it then copy and paste as a new layer. Angle it and move it to the upper left hand side of the tag. Move this layer down below the frame layers, just above the mask layer. Duplicate it and go to image, mirror then, image flip.

Open the grass with rocks layer, resize it then copy and paste as a new layer and move it to below the leaf layer. Erase any parts that are showing beyond the frame.

Then open your sunflower, resize it if needed and copy and paste as a new layer. Angle it slightly and move to the upper left side of the tag. Move this layer just above the pinecone frame layer. Duplicate it and go to image, mirror. Add the bow of choice to both flowers.

Open the wooden bench then copy and paste it as a new layer. Center it into the bottom portion of the frames.

Add a pumpkin of choice to either side of the bench. Add two leaves behind the pumpkins.

Open your tube of choice, then copy and paste as a new layer into the center of the tag. Place in front of the bench to look as if she is sitting on the bench or leaning on it.

Next open the moon and copy and paste as a new layer to the top left portion of the tag. Resize it and adjust as needed.

Open three of the leaves you like, copy and paste as new layers, towards the top. Arrange them as you like.

Add your text, license info, and copyrights. Save as a psp image if you choose to animate, if not save as a jpeg or png.

ANIMATION:

Open your animation shop and minimize it.

This is kind of tedious but the end result is pretty cool.

In PSP, move your moon slightly to the right. Then move and arrange the leaves slightly moving them to the right. Go to edit, copy merged and over to animation shop.

Right click and go to paste as new animation.

Back to PSP, repeat the process, moving the moon and leaves a little more. Edit, copy merged and back to animation shop. Go to edit, paste after current frame.

Back to PSP and repeat the process until you have all the frames you like.

In Animation shop go to animation, animation properties and change it to the speed you like. I changed mine to 30 but you can make it higher to make it slower if you like.

Next go to the bottom template layer and go to selections, select all, then float, selections defloat. Don’t forget to go to selections, none then delete the template layer. Repeat this process for the rest of the template.

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with your choice of paper. Add your mask and merge the group. Move this layer to the bottom of your layer palette.

Open the spider web and resize. Copy and paste as a new layer to the upper right hand corner of the tag.

Next open the pumpkin string, resize it then copy and paste as a new layer. Move it below the left sided rectangles. Adjust as you like it.

Then open the haunted house, resize then copy and paste to the bottom left side of the tag. You’ll need to center it there the way you think it looks best. I had a hard time adjusting it and messed with it quite a bit lol.

Open the bat you like and resize. Copy and paste as a new layer, at the top left corner of the tag.

Add a broom, ribbon and bow you like to the right side of the tag. Place the broom first, with the bottom up towards the top. Then the ribbon at the center bottom of the broom bristles, and the bow on top of that.

Choose all three of the wrap candy’s and resize by 20%. Copy and paste as new layers, and move into a row on the left hand side. I placed them so they were half over the two rectangles.

Open the mummy sticker, resize then copy and paste as a new layer towards the right, bottom of the tag.

Next open the three hard candies, resize them to different sizes and copy and paste them as new layers. Move them and arrange them to overlap to the right of the mummy. Add the cauldron next right below those.

Open your tube of choice, and resize a bit. Copy and paste and center into your tag.

Add your copyrights, license number, text and tagger markings.

Save this as a pspimage so you have it in layers for later use and before we start the process for animation.

If your not animating, then save as a jpeg or png and your done!

ANIMATION—

Open Animation Shop and minimize it, we’ll be back to it in a minute.

Next go back to PSP, with your current tag up select the haunted house layer and duplicate it twice so you now have 3.

Repeat this for the cauldron also.

Go back to the cauldron, and on the bottom cauldron layer and use your plug in Eye Candy 4000 smoke. I went to settings, and chose small puffs. Go to your second cauldron (the one right above it) and use the plug in again, but hit random seed. Do this the same for the last one.

Next go to the haunted house layer, the one on the bottom. Using your plug in xenofex 2, lightening add the distant lightening setting to it. Go to the second one up, and add it again, but on the random seed setting. Do the same for the last one.

Now close off the top two haunted houses, and the top to cauldrons. Go to edit, copy merged and go to animation shop. Right click and click on paste as new animation.

Back to PSP, close off the bottom layers on each the haunted house and cauldron and open the middle ones. Edit, copy merged, and go to animation shop. Edit, paste after current frame.

Back to PSP and repeat this process for the last one.

Once all done, you should have three frames total in animation shop. Click on the filmstrip button up in the animation tool bar and you should see your animated tag!

Save as a gif and your done.

++Font and Mask of choice

Because this template is taking up the whole space we need to add more. Go to image, canvas size and make it 600x600.

Add your gradient glow of choice. Don’t forget to go to selections, none then delete the template layer. Repeat this process for the rest of the template.

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with your choice of paper. Add your mask and merge the group. Move this layer to the bottom of your layer palette.

Open the babies breath. Copy and paste as a new layer and move to the upper left of the tag as well as below the template. Duplicate it and go to image, mirror. Then duplicate it again go to image, flip. One more time and go to image, mirror. You should now have one on each side at the top and bottom.

Next open the long stem rose, copy and paste as a new layer and move it to below the template layer. Move it to the top of the tag, duplicate it then go to image, mirror.

Open the pearl flower of your choice, copy and paste as a new layer. Use your plug in Muera Meister copies on the encircle option and set the shift x and y to 60. Move this layer below the circle template layer.

Then add the glitter rain of your choice, copy and paste as a new layer, moving it up towards the top of the circle template layer. On the circle layer, go to selections, float then defloat then invert. On the glitter rain layer, hit your delete key. Go to selections, none. Duplicate it and go to image flip.

Open the heart chain, copy and paste it as a new layer on the circle template layer. Erase the parts you don’t want seen outside the circle layer.

Then open the rose of your choice. Resize it then copy and paste as a new layer. Use your plug in Muera Meister copies on the encircle option and set the shift x and y to 60. Move this layer below the circle template layer.

Add a bow of choice to the two corners on the top rectangle. Angle it slightly.

Then add your tube of choice and center it. Resize and adjust as needed.

Next open the cupcake, lollipop, cell phone, purse, polish, lipstick and jelly bean of choice and copy and paste them after resizing. Place to the left of the tag in the arrangement you choose.

Finally add your text, any copyrights and tagger markings.

Save and your done!

Open the heart pin element, resize it then copy and paste as a new layer. Move it to the layer above the mask layer. Duplicate it and move them to either end of the rectangle layers.

On the rectangle layers, use your plug in Tramages, Tow the line with the following settings

Control 0: 80
Control1: 54
Control2: 48
Control3: 9

Dot this for both the rectangle layers.

On the first heart layer from the bottom, which is the upper left one, your going to add your tube of choice. Remember your going to use this for all three of them. Ok open the tube, resize it then copy and paste as a new layer. Position it on that heart where you know you would like it. Go to the heart layer, and go to selections, select all then selections, defloat then selections, invert. Go back to your tube layer and hit delete. Then selections none. Use your plug in Xero, Radiance on the random setting of your choice. Then use Xero, Softmood on a random setting of your choice.

Go to the next heart, which is going to be the one on the middle, and copy and paste your tube in the position you like. Note that I mirrored mine and had it going the other way. I also resized it a bit. You adjust and resize as you like. Repeat the steps to place it like you did the last one BUT change the blend mode to luminance.

Go to the final heart, the one on the bottom and repeat the same steps as above. Again not I changed the positioning a bit and adjusted it. Do change the blend mode on this one also.

Open the two roses you like. Resize them then copy and paste each of them as a new layer. Place them side by side up towards the top of the bottom rectangle. You are going to duplicate them several times, alternating them to make a row of roses. Do this until you have a full line you are happy with. Close off ALL layers and merge visible. Open them all back up and then back to the row of roses, duplicate it and go to image, mirror. Move it to the bottom of the top rectangle.

Next open two of the charm and bows you like. Resize them then copy and paste as new layers. Move the one to the end of the top rose row. Duplicate it and go to image, mirror. Moving it to the other end. Move the other one you opened after copying and pasting to the center of the rose row. Repeat this for the bottom row.

Open the heart charm with bow you like, copy and paste after resizing it to the bottom of the bottom heart.

Then open three flowers you like. Resize them then copy and paste as new layers. Move one around one of the hearts in several spots and repeat the same for the other two flowers and the other hearts.

Add you final tube to the right side of the tag. Add the Xero radiance plug in again. Use it at the random setting you like. Adjust it as you need to.

++Tube pf choice or the one I used. I used the artwork of Leigh Young which can be purchased HERE

Don’t forget to go to selections, none then delete the template layer. Repeat this process for the rest of the template.

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with your choice of paper. Add your mask and merge group. Note: I duplicated my mask and went to image, mirror and image flip to get the effect I wanted.
Open the doodle of choice, resize it. Then copy and paste as a new layer, angling it to the right slightly. Move this layer below the bottom template layer and move up to the upper right hand corner. Duplicate it and go to image, mirror.

Next open your tube of choice, and resize. Copy and paste as a new layer and move to the center of the tag.

Open the flower element you like, resize it. Then copy and paste as a new layer to the bottom left hand corner. Duplicate it and move it to the upper right hand corner.

Add a heart of choice to the upper left hand corner. Duplicate it then move to the opposite corner.

Next add a heart charm of your choice, to the left side of the tag, angling it slightly to the left or right. Resize and adjust as you like. Move it below the heart layer.

Add your text, copyrights, license number and tagger markings.

Save and your done!

Next go to the bottom template layer and go to selections, select all, then float, selections defloat. Add a gradient glow of your choosing. Don’t forget to go to selections, none then delete the template layer. Repeat this process for the rest of the template.

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with your choice of paper. Add your mask and merge the group.

On your heart layer of the template your going to use your Xenoefex plug in on the Crack effect.

Use the following settings:

Supplies Needed:

++Paint Shop Pro ( I used 10 but any version should work)

++Scrap kit by Mellibeans called Rockstar can be purchased HERE

++Template 79 by Kristin can be found HERE

++Three tubes of choice or the ones I used. I used the artwork of Elias Chatzoudis which can be purchased HERE

Don’t forget to go to selections, none then delete the template layer. Repeat this process for the rest of the template.

Open the glitter splatter you like. Copy and paste as a new layer, moving it to the bottom of the layer palette. Move it to the upper right hand side. Duplicate it and go to image, mirror then image flip.

Next open the three tubes of choice. Place in each of the frames as you like. **Note I chose to make them look like they were “jumping” out of the frame. To do this duplicate the tube, move it below the frame. On the top tube layer, use your eraser brush and remove what you don’t want seen above the frame. Go to the bottom tube layer and erase the rest that you don’t want seen, usually towards the bottom.

Open your ribbon of choice, resize then copy and paste as a new layer. Move and angle as you like to the frame on the right hand side. Do this for the middle frame, but up in the upper right hand corner of it.

Choose the two curled ribbons you like. Copy and paste the first one, resizing and adjusting. Move to the bottom part of the frame on the left. Move this below the skull layer from the template. Repeat this for the other two frames.

Add your flower of choice to the corner of the middle frame. Resize it and adjust as needed.

Open to the two guitars, resize and adjust as needed. Copy and paste as new layers to the left of the canvas. Angle the one on the right slightly and add a bow of choice to the middle of them where they connect.

Now open the skull sticker to the upper right hand side of the tag.

Add your text, copyrights, license number and tagger markings.

Save and your done! Thank you for trying my tutorial!
